Legendary singer Kumar Sanu slammed his son, Bigg Boss 14 contestant Jaan Kumar Sanu for his remarks against the Marathi language. Jaan made the remarks during a conversation with co-contestant Nikki Tamboli, on the reality show, which eventually stirred up a controversy. In a video shared on social media, while defending his son over the ‘Marathi controversy’, Kumar Sanu blamed his ex-wife Rita for Jaan’s behaviour. Now, Kumar Sanu goes back on his comments, in a new video, after questioning the upbringing Bigg Boss 14’s Jaan Kumar Sanu’s mother gave their son.

In a new video shared on social media by ETimes TV, Kumar Sanu praised son Jaan’s helping nature and said he is a very good person in real life. He said, “My son Jaan is a very good person in real life. He has a very helping nature, but because of the situation inside the Bigg Boss house, he is under pressure. During such challenging times and pressure, you tend to say things which you don't say in normal life. He is too young.”

As the legendary singer continued to defend his son and his actions in the Bigg Boss 14 house, he reacted to the comments he made about his ex-wife Rita. Talking about Jaan’s mom, Kumar Sanu said, “His mom has raised them well and all that she could do for them as a mother.” The singer also revealed in his video how he was never happy with Jaan’s decision of entering the Bigg Boss house, and mentioned that when his son informed him about his decision, he always advised him that he shouldn’t go. Kumar Sanu added that it was Jaan’s choice to be a part of the show as he has been a huge fan of the show and revealed he himself auditioned for it as well.

Meanwhile, in the video, the Aashiqui singer also reacted to the Nepotism remark made on Jaan by Rahul Vaidya and shared a piece of advice for him. Kumar Sanu said he felt hurt when after 40 years, his personal life was dragged into a fight but went on to wish Jaan and Rahul all the best.  For the unversed, Jaan had asked Nikki to not speak in Marathi with Rahul and said, “mereko chid hoti hai (it irks me)”. Later, Jaan also apologised for hurting the sentiments of people in the confession room of the Bigg Boss 14 house. He said it was unintentional and mentioned it would never happen again.
